Spaghetti Bolognese

Always an absolute favourite and it must be the most eaten Italian dish ever!

I suggest that you use my Bolognese All-Purpose Meaty Sauce and just add the pasta of your choice - in this case it is spaghetti but you can use any pasta you like.

Tip:

Add a little oil to the boiling water when cooking your pasta as this stops the pasta sticking together and to the bottom of the pan!

 

Ingredients

1/2 pack of dried spaghetti
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp of salt

Method

  • In a large pan of boiling water, add a little salt, a dash of oil and add the spaghetti, giving it a little stir
  • Let it bubble away for approx 10 minutes - some dried pastas are quick cook versions so always best to check the cooking time as instructed on the packet.
  • Same with fresh pasta.
  • Once cooked, drain thoroughly, give it a rinse whilst in the colander with boiling or hot water from the kettle - this gets rid of all the excess starch.
  • You can serve with the meat sauce on top of the pasta or mix it together, your choice but make sure you have some parmesan to sprinkle on top!
