No Bake Chocolate Crispy Squares

Our kids have always loved these little squares of heaven. Layered with light and dark chocolate and held together with syrup, it really is a case of one mouthful is enough!

Because it is a no-bake cake, after a little help with the chocolate melting bit, they can mix and press to their hearts content, adding their own toppings and make their own design.

  • Grease a 20 cm square cake tin and line with parchment paper.
  • Place the butter, golden syrup and chocolate in an ovenproof bowl.
  • Fill a saucepan with boiling water and place the ovenproof bowl over the top, making sure the base of the bowl doesn't touch the water.

  • Drizzle over the top of the rice crisp squares and leave to set.
